Installing snob#
Download a release archive, or build from source.
From a release#
Releases are on the Radiant-Apps/snob Releases page, with one archive per platform:
| Platform | Archive target |
|---|---|
| Linux x86_64 (glibc 2.35 or newer) | x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu |
| Linux arm64 (glibc 2.35 or newer) | aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu |
| macOS, Apple Silicon | aarch64-apple-darwin |
| macOS, Intel | x86_64-apple-darwin |
Download snob-<version>-<target>.tar.gz and SHA256SUMS, then verify and
unpack. For 0.1.0-alpha.1 on Apple Silicon:
$ sha256sum --ignore-missing -c SHA256SUMS # macOS: shasum -a 256 --ignore-missing -c SHA256SUMS
$ gh attestation verify snob-0.1.0-alpha.1-aarch64-apple-darwin.tar.gz --repo Radiant-Apps/snob
$ tar -xzf snob-0.1.0-alpha.1-aarch64-apple-darwin.tar.gz
$ ./snob-0.1.0-alpha.1-aarch64-apple-darwin/snob --version
gh attestation verify checks that the archive was built by the
repository's release workflow from a specific commit. It says nothing about
whether the code is correct.
From source#
With Rust 1.88 or newer:
$ git clone https://github.com/Radiant-Apps/snob
$ cd snob
$ cargo install --locked --path .
There are no Windows builds; process cleanup for external providers is Unix-only.
